Boredom

So i arrived at the office this morning around 7:30am. The office was still closed and i waited for about 30mins sitting on the hallway waiting for doors to open. I remembered that my boss is out of town today, hmmmm .... where are my officemates? tsktsktsk.

Oh, the one opening the door? She was not my officemate, she's an employee of the other company....so, our office is inside another office...yup,now you got that right.

So, a day without the boss telling me what to do, and as i check my To Do List, nothing much for today, and for tomorrow. So, i did my usual routine, check files here and there and im done, now what? oh, wait for lunch, while waiting for the time,chat with my buddies online. Kinda -------- boring though.

So my head just spins around, im getting dizzy specially if i have nothing to do and don't know what i can do. You might think that i can't live without supervision, actually i can,it's just that they did not leave anything for me to do and ive done everything already. :)

Lunch is here, yup my stomach is mumbling....and here you go.eat UP!!!! Im back in my table and whats next? Watch Batman Gotham Knight and because of the dark scenes..... %**&&^%^& you got it, im getting dizzy again.lolz... oh i don't have health problems though, Boringness and Hungryness just gives me the Dizziness. lolz, until here....

Alternative Route

Dust! take Cover

Few months have past and my usual route gets more congested. The Mandaue government is putting up a flyover along my usual route so instead of waiting inside the PUJ with sweat and dust, i decided to take an alternative route. I guess the distance is pretty much the same but i need to walk to the tricycle stop and wait for a couple of minutes for some other passengers and up for another PUJ that stops near our office, a few blocks away, so i need to walk again.

Which is Better?
So i guess taking the alternative route was way better than my usual route. I still get dust and sweat but eliminate the traffic and the waiting time inside the PUJ and along the road for another PUJ...yup PUJ is how i go to work.

What's wrong?
So the PUJ just got its increase from P6.00 to P6.50 fare few weeks ago and now thay implemented another fare hike, its now P8.00 from the usual P6.50. I said to myself.... if the fare gets to P10.00 then ill ride my bike to work instead, yeah, get real... going to the office with bike? Could someone give me a bucket of water to wipe myself up?

Its not only the PUJ, also the taxi, from the usual P30 flag down to P40 flag down. They ask you to add additional P10 instead when you get off the cab instead of reprogramming their meter, but.... CURSE those who wants to cheat. It's still on July 24,2008 that you can start collecting additional P10 fare. Sheeeeeeeesh.....

The Come Back

Im Back
It's been a while since im gone and what's new your asking? Im currently working at this new digital advertising company as an IT Staff. I started this new job last May 2, 2008, well everything is fine. We are only 5 in this company,that's including our Boss. The sad part is that, I don't have overtime pay and sometimes, i need to spend hours starting 10pm in the evening until dawn if needed because we work inside the mall.

New Officemate
So our graphic artist is leaving cebu and he is going to manila to study 3d animation. Yup, i envy how they learn those stuff and i know i can learn, thats if i wanted to but sometimes i feel like its late and i dont have that resources like DSLR and stuff...
Our new graphic artist was actually my highschool schoolmate, harharhar.

PRIDE is a Factor

Ever wonder how you can handle a person who's too sensitive and got a mountainous Pride? They tend to make small things complicated and you strive hard to explain to that person that you did not mean it and that he/she just misunderstand it. My problem is that, i got pride but not that much. Even if its not my mistake, i tend to feel guilty and i would start admitting that its my fault and all that, but again, it's not my fault. I normally adjust to the scenario, if the problem is not that big, why bother to make it big? why can't we just meet half way and admit one's fault?

Problem?
Now, that's the problem... If you both got PRIDE, most likely you won't get around that much, because both of you won't admit your fault and that would cause break-ups. If one of you got the Pride, i still won't say a perfect match, your partner might abuse it and in return, BANG! I think the best would be both of you got enough Pride,just to settle things out and lessen the sensitivity part. It's my opinion and you got yours.

New Job, Greater Heights!

Proper Instruction
So, im finally done with my endorsement. I instructed the new IT guy and i hope i got it all in his head with just a day of endorsement. The task are not that hard and i im confident that he can do it himself. My HR was even amazed when i submitted the endorsement letter with the new IT guy's signature on it. I asked him again if he understands everything before i actually let him sign the sheet. He did sign it and today was the day when he was alone without my company because i driving my younger brother to summer class.

Could this be the ONE?
I pray to God that i would be an employee of big companies like Lexmark, Lear, NEC, NCR, and i also prayed that i would not be staying unemployed for a long time. Richmedia, a digital signage advertising company is hiring an IT Staff and i applied. I was called up for 3 interviews and I would be working for them soon. Even if im not working for big companies, im still happy that God answered my prayers and they only need one IT Staff and there were 3 of us on the first interview. God is really amazing, i just hope that ill be able to stay long here, as for my compensation...im still in probationary, i just hope it will increase a bit higher.

MAD

Driving me Crazy
It's driving me crazy. I managed to format almost all the computers a few months ago with the help of some other guys. Happy as I am that it's all done. Today, as i checked on the computers in the Front Desk, one of unit got a virus. I remembered that i told them not to use USB but they still use it to put in songs because its boring they say. I disabled the audio driver so they can't get any sounds from it but they managed to fix it, amazed but i just kept quite. Today was the day when i finally disable the USB. Im pretty sure they used USB for the new songs rather than using the cd. If its cd, then it has a virus in it too. I just hate it.

FUTURE

Resignation
Few more days from now and im gonna leave this office. Im currently searching for other opportunities here,there and everywhere. Sometimes, i wonder a lot whether i can get a job soon or still stay at home and wait for time to pass by. Regret? not really, maybe i just don't want to stay unemployed that long, in my head, it's telling me im gonna.

Positive Thinking
I guess positive thinking will help around on this scenario. I think determination, setting goals, will keep us going. If your a lazy ass then you feel this way. Sometimes we do feel this way and i too experienced this. When negative CHI gets around you, find ways to overcome it, because if you don't... you need to buy a rocking chair.

Photography

Don Moen
So I was called up by the Sales manager to take in charge of the photography last Friday, April 11,2008. Don Moen came over to our hotel and he wants me to take a picture of them. Another call from the owner, wanted me to take a photo of Don Moen and his family so i took his request instead. I can't take both...lolz,im not doctor Octopus. Don Moen came with his wife and with his band mates i guess and they performed at USP open field. I wasn't there though.

Happy
I may not be in the photo together with them but the thought of them saying thank you and you've done a great job will be enough. They loved the shots but its all because of the DSLR, i admit. I will try to post some of the pics i got if its possible for me to get some copies of it,hehehe.

Know Your Product

Wrong Information
So, I was waiting for the license keys from Microsoft so that i can start legalizing the remaining PCs. I received it and got a call from Microsoft of Manila that i can use a Win XP Pro cd to format the PCs. Taking her advice, i head-up and start,i got to the point where i should enter the key and it did not work, Invalid Product Key printed on the screen. I called up Microsoft and explained the issue, and he said that i should wait for the media intended for that license.

REACTION
1. When answering the phone, excuse yourself when you cough. I know the virus won't pass through the telephone line, it's called MANNERS!

2. Don't give wrong information, know your product better before you advice you customers. Your company is big, a little misinformation could take you down.

Ticking TIME

Job HUNT
So i bought our local newspaper this morning and our HR was right, there was no ad for my position. So, what't the plan of our Manager? Killing Time? He said he is not going to give me clearance if no one will take over my place,hmmmm i'll wait forever then? He asked me again Yesterday about my decision and my answer will always be, " I have decided and will not change my mind." He asked me if im hired by Microsoft and i said NO. I wonder what's in his mind and why Microsoft?

ANNOYED
He kept asking the very same question, " Are you hired already by Microsoft? " Hey, If you don't believe, ask them then and stop making lousy guesses because your not Madam Auring ( Famous Fortune Teller ). Even if you are, why would you care? My contract has already ended and i did not sign any other paper. What bothers me most was when he said "If you won't be honest with yourself, you won't succeed in life"..... Whats this all about? is it because your suspicious that im not telling you the truth?

As if he could change my mind. His actions are too much and its really annoying. Maybe he hasn't encountered someone more annoying than him that's why he doesn't know how annoying he is.... Mr. Manager Sir....SHUT UP!

Resignation

Bye Guys
I've finally decided to pass my resignation paper to HR last March 31, 2008. My attention was called these past days because our Manager wanted me to stay, but i already decided to leave my workplace.

WHY? Whats wrong?
1. My job was way out of the contract. I got to work for 2 more companies and the pay? unbelievable.
2. I understand that i need to serve more than one head...well, i guess im no ordinary System Admin i guess.
3. Too many goody goody... They act good in front of your boss just to get some points and stab you at the back.
4. Management Sucks.

JUst STAY!
So our Manager talked to me and convince me to stay. I don't quite like the way he encourages me to stay because he included some insults to it. If they are to pay me right...still i decide to resign. Im pretty sure that they will pressure me the more. If i do wrong...hmmmm..." Hey, your not doing right, we paid you well, your not worth we paid for..." OHH...i see that line coming.

To the MANAGER
I understand that your doing your job and that you don't want to be questioned by the Managing Director but you should respect other people's decision. You may encourage them, enlighten them but don't add foolish thoughts with it because we are no kids and your excuse that your older and that u've been through all these...its not encouraging at all, its insult.

Don't be one sided. Your not a Manager if that's the case. I learned a lot from you Sir, but don't be close minded. You think your not but we see you as you are.

Depending Too Much

March 27,2008 SATURDAY
The Facilities Supervisor called me up and asked me for a favor. He told me to go to Skyrise and take pictures of these and that...and he wants it to be prioritized. After the call, I immediately went to Skyrise Building and took some shots. I went back to Golden Peak Hotel around 1:30pm and i told him that its ready and if i should save it on his PC and he said no. I asked if i should save it in the laptop instead and he said he would still ask permission. Late afternoon, he called me up and asked me where the laptop is and i said its with the other department because they used it last Wednesday. "I just want to know where it is so that i can pull it out anytime." he said.

I forgot to tell him that i was on leave Friday March 28, but i told the HR though.

Graduation
It was my younger brother's graduation and yes, inspite of his low grades he graduated. Oh my... hahaha
Around 1:30pm, got a call from my work place that the computers are not working well and stuff like that. "Oh man, im on leave..." I said to myself, and since im on call, i just need to go. I was not paid for visiting a few minutes there.

March 29 Saturday
I attended the Microsoft Seminar about Microsoft Express Design. It was fun and a new thing to me. I then went back to the workplace and WHALA!!! "hey where have you been, the facilities supervisor was looking for you and he was really piss off because you did not attend to what he requested..." and i was like? HUH? HUH? HUH? WHAT???

as i enter to another department, the same story was told and i was like....WHAT THE??? Our HR asked me to see her and before i went home, our Manager asked me the same question... DUH???

What exactly Happened
I told them the story that i was not able to tell him that im on leave and that i need to attend the seminar this morning ( Saturday ), and the supervisor thought i was hiding from him. Im not hiding and why should I???

Too MUCH!
First of all, If your requesting for help, you don't act like your the boss because your not one. 2nd, Your not the only person i attend to in this building, don't be greedy. 3rd, Find option...don't always rely on one person. 4th, Follow-up on things and don't wait for it to appear in front of you, LAZZY ASS! 5th, Never criticize others, if you want to...just make sure your perfect enough for others not to criticize you in return.

LEARNINGS!
Pride, put in down or raise it up, look at the situation. You'll make things worst with that kind of attitude. Requesting, don't get mad because your the one who needed help, unless you paid him. Ask nicely and politely.

When HIRING PEOPLE! make sure they are qualified for the job. A psychologist cant be an ENGINEER or the like.

Customer Service

What Happened?
Its been a while since the last time i posted, hehehe. I was asked to take part of an awarding ceremony as the official photographer Thursday night, so i was not able to blog.lolz....well, it was fun and i was paid for it.

Quality Customer Service
Oh, our internet service is bundled with DSL connection and the service begins to suck. I hate it when i don't get what im paid for. Every time i call their customer service, the same old script. They may be able to solve the problem but recently, the problem keeps getting back. We don't have a dial tone and our internet speed was no good. My brother called them up, it was fixed and then, then problem came back today. Just don't know how to resolve this problem.

Holiday is Over

So holiday is over and back to work tomorrow. A lot of things to do in my "TO DO" List. Expecting a big day tomorrow so i better sleep early tonight, well after i play my favorite game. lolz

After the Baccalaureate Service, me,my mom and my little brother went to the mall to buy electric fan. Its summer time...hehehe. We watched a chinese movie entitled "Wolf" in www.crunchyroll.com and it was a sad movie. You guys should watch it. I don't want to spoil the story so go on and watch it yourself...

I went to work Yesterday, its Good Friday and obviously a very silent workplace. As i was changing up properly before i would punch in, i saw Sir Rico. Oh, Sir Rico is in charge of our hotel system and i asked help from him about the half conscious server, which would be submitted to the ICU...lolz. Sir Rico was not able to fix it too, better send it to NG KHAI.

Whats Lunch?
Oh, no lunch at all....its holiday. Binignit, a Filipino food, almost like porridge but stickier, sweet, mixed with bananas, casavas ang the like... That was my lunch...yeah, full at first, hungry at 2:00pm, dizzy at 4:00pm because of boredom, resulted to watching www.metacafe.com instead...

DAY OFF

MAUNDAY THURSDAY
So its holy week and i spend my day off at home. Ill be working tomorrow even if it's still holiday. I need to check on the server and all that. I woke up late today, around 9am, its already late for me, hehehe. I just ate some crackers because lunch was near. Prepared a place for my dog because she is pregnant. Today was really hot and very humid.

NICE MOVIE

Me, my mom and my little brother watched ROB B HOOD at www.crunchyroll.com. Jackie Chan is my favorite actor. The movie was fun and exciting. He acts pretty well in the film. His moves are cool and astonishing.

DETERMINATION
My mom told me how jackie became a good actor. He was actually a floor sweeper, a work similar to that. He was once mocked by an actor because jackie accidentally hit him. He discouraged jackie that he won't make it to the film industry. This made Jackie work harder, tried the roles of extras and doing stunts. He started here and he went higher. Determination is the key, don't be discouraged, show the world who's the boss.

I Hate It

NEW UNIFORM
I got my new uniform and wore it to work yesterday and i hate it. The upper uniform is a bit bulky and side slit is too high but the worst part...the pants. Oh, its really tight, and im not used to wearing skinny jeans. I really hate it because i can't walk properly, can't make a large step. Really, very annoying, uncomfortable. My friend down there can't nearly breath.

IGNORED
I complained it to the clothes maker, and she just ignored me. She said its normal and it fits me, bla bla bla....all i want to say is, i am the one wearing it and you dont know how it feels. If i complain, you respect it and you give opinion and suggestion but not ignoring other people's concern.

LESSON
If your in a business, customer service is very important. I know how hassle it is to change it, revise it, return it, but why are you in this business if you don't follow this? I know i yap too much but hey, isn't it true? Won't you demand proper customer service if your a customer?

I Thought It was a JOKE

I was not able to blog last night because blogspot was not acting properly at home. I went to playing my favorite online game instead but the server cut me off when i was about to enjoy the game.

OK, here is what happened at work yesterday. I was in another department that morning and officemate A from another department called up and was talking to officemate B. I was talking on the background and A heard it and asked B who it was, then B added a few words in their conversation as if it was A that was making fun of me. So, thinking that it was A who was making fun of me, i say some jokes in return. When i answered the phone and talked to A, she got mad and asked why accused her of that and she drop the phone...

HUH? MY Fault?
OK, i did not expect that. The joke made by B, who i thought was A's joke was not that harsh, so i was thinking it was A. Just a simple joke, nothing much...But its the dropping of the phone that i was concerned about. She did not hear my part at all, so it felt bad actually. I saw her that day but she still acts the same way, sticking out her tongue when she saw me, and that action made me say, "she is not mad at me?" but still it felt bad.

Sorry
Last night, i sms her and said im sorry but she did not reply. It's this feeling that bothers me.

LEARN
Simply don't make jokes, others may be sensitive and others may not. Never be sensitive on jokes unless you confirm it from that person. Lolz....

Manny Pacman Pacquiao WON again
I took a nap at noon waiting for the real fight between Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao and Juan Manuel “Dinamita” Marquez because i know the real show starts at 2pm, oh im not watching the pay per view. Hehehe. The first 2 rounds was not that great because manny got those punches. Intense reaction of the crowd in the stadium. marquez got the first knock out by Pacman on round 3 of the game. It lasted to round 12 and Pacman won by split decision.

UNFAIR???
Ok, ive searched the forums and they are not happy that manny won the game because if you see the game, without the K.O., manny would lose on that game but HEY! he did the K.O. and the judges are not from Philippines so why say that crap...??? He got the title and he won the WBC. He got it with his effort so stop mocking this guy unless he cheated in some ways... just trying to explain....envious people.

Happy Birthday

Its the owner's birthday today and she gave the employees a free lunch. It was great and i was able to save a meal from the event. No programs, just food. Reminds me of the years that ive bin taken care of....thanks...
